VIDEO: 49ers’ ILB NaVorro Bowman cleared to practice, comeback begins

According to ESPN’s Ed Werder, San Francisco 49ers ILB NaVorro Bowman’s MRI revealed no structural damage to his surgically repaired left knee and is expected to return to practice next week.

An injury that tore both his ACL/MCL in last year’s NFC Championship Game, Bowman can now begin his 21-day evaluation window (on Tuesday) in which the team will decide his fate on whether to place Bowman on season-ending IR or promote him to the active 53-man roster.

With Bowman now back in the fold that’s great¬†news for a team trying to squeeze their way back into the playoff race. However, it remains to be seen if Bowman will play this season due to experiencing some “soreness” lately.
