Kaepernick, who is currently working out in Arizona with former QB Kurt Warner, still doesn’t know who his offensive coordinator will be. Rumors are swirling around that Rob Chudzinski, Marc Trestman, or Bill Callahan may be getting the job, but that remains to be seen.

“I’m very excited that he’s going to be our head coach,” Kaepernick said. “I think he is a tremendous coach as well as a great guy, and I know he’s going to help us win.”

Tomsula, spoke with both local media and Niners Beat Writers today to discuss his star quarterback training in Arizona. “That’s who Colin is,” Tomsula said. “Colin is a hard-working guy who really wants it. And anybody that’s had a chance to sit and talk with him individually, he’s really a nice guy. He’s a good guy. He’s a thoughtful guy. He’s an intelligent guy. He’s a guy with a perspective.”

With the 49ers continuing their search for a new offensive coordinator, they will need to find a coach that can gel with Tomsula as GM Trent Baalke has to start from ground zero in retooling his depleted coaching staff.
