Week 13 Preview: San Francisco 49ers vs. Chicago Bears

The San Francisco 49ers (1-10) have lost a franchise record 10 consecutive games, they could easily end that streak against the woeful Chicago Bears (2-9). Two teams who are clearly the bottom feeders of the NFL, this game will be out to prove who will hold a higher draft pick in next year’s draft.

The 49ers are slightly favored and Vegas expects this game to go down to the wire, just like last season’s matchup. I can’t argue with that assessment.

On the surface, the team has finally tightened up their run defense inefficiency and the addition of fifth-round pick DE Ronald Blair is a huge reason why.

Normally, I would write a full on assessment about how this game is going to turn out, but there’s not much guess work involved in my opinion.

In a nutshell, the game will indeed go to the wire in a defensive struggle. Both teams will have a hard time moving the chains forcing punts back-and-forth. Touchdowns will come midway through the third quarter with the 49ers scoring last-ultimately ending their 10-game skid– winning 23-17.

Vegas Odds

Sakamoto: 38-21 (Over/Under)

2016: 5-6

With the total points set at 44, I would slightly take the over.

Sakamoto: 34-25 (ATS)

2016: 5-6

With the 49ers being -1 point favorites, I’m rolling with the 49ers to cover the spread.

As you know we select three players each game who we think will score touchdowns (quarterbacks omitted). Here are this week’s picks:
