After the San Francisco 49ers (2-5) embarrassing loss to the Seattle Seahawks (3-4) last night, it was reported by CSN Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco that “something big could happen.”

“I’ve heard whispers behind the scenes that something big could happen,” said Maiocco. “I don’t know what it’s going to be. I don’t know what they’re talking about. But clearly the 49ers can’t go on this way. The coaching staff looks overmatched, the players look overmatched. The 49ers were plain and simple overmatched today against a team that came in with four losses. . . . There are a lot of very upset people in the 49ers organization.”

Could this mean a firing? I highly doubt that, but a quarterback change may be in the works as QB Colin Kaepernick may be on the hot seat. 49ers head coach Jim Tomsula was asked after the game, if there would be a quarterback change, and Tomsula quickly shot that down.

With the 49ers struggling to find their groove, it will be interesting to see what will happen as the 49ers try to get back in the win column.
