The San Francisco 49ers announced the release of RB Pierre Thomas after only one game of action. To fill that roster spot the team then picked up four-year veteran RB Travaris Cadet.

Cadet is a better player than Thomas in my opinion because he not only runs hard between the tackles but is a nice pass option as a receiver coming out of the backfield. In 2014, Cadet had a total of 48 touches. See them all here in the video below…
Cadet also played college ball with C Daniel Kilgore at Appalachian State and that could play a role moving forward as the team looks for a complementary back for RB Carlos Hyde.
