I guess San Francisco 49ers (2-2) QB Colin Kaepernick will have to settle for some beats by Bose nowadays as the NFL reached an agreement with the Massachusetts based company to be the sole provider of noise canceling headsets and automotive sound systems. In reaching this deal, the NFL barred the NFL coaches, players and other personnel from using anything other than Bose during their pre-game and post-game rituals.

So what does that mean for players that routinely use Beats By Dre? Well unfortunately for them they will have to find other alternatives while solely using Bose headsets, if they want to listen to their music. And if they are caught using anything other than Bose while on camera a fine could ensue.

Beats By Dre which was recently acquired by Apple for $3 billion, recently released a statement saying, “Over the last few years athletes have written Beats into their DNA as part of the pre-game ritual. “Music can have a significant positive effect on an athlete’s focus and mental preparedness and has become as important to performance as any other piece of equipment.”

What are your thoughts Forever Faithful? Do you think Kaepernick should be able to wear/listen to whatever he wants? Start the discussion here on NinerFans.com.
