There is no question in my mind that San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is the most marketable athlete in the NFL. From MusclePharm to Jaguar, Kaepernick has been striking it rich off the field as he makes more money in endorsements than the rookie contract he signed back in 2011. And with other players involved including EA Sports, Beats By Dre, and McDonald’s, Kaepernick has quickly turned into an icon.

A player that has had continued success as an NFL starter while leading the 49ers to two consecutive NFC Championship Games, it’s Kaepernick’s personality that has companies raving about what he brings to the table. From his ink to his “Kaepernicking” celebration, the player simply known as “Kap” continues to strike gold with endorsements, as he has made anywhere between $1 and $3 million. And with Kaepernick having a bit more swag than the likes of QB Tom Brady and QB Peyton Manning, means a younger target market for companies to cash in on.

With Kaepernick making deals off the field, many people in NFL circles have turned that success into a negative, as they feel he should be more focused on football. Let’s be real, Kaepernick’s work ethic should not be questioned as his dedication, hard work, and determination are well documented. And although I must admit he does need more work with his pocket presence and progressions, Kaepernick will be just fine as he continues to be the 49ers franchise quarterback.

With Kaepernick continuing to strike it rich off-the-field, who can blame him? The man is getting paid for his on field performance. And with football being one play away from potentially ending his career, Kaepernick is taking advantage of the opportunity as he understands anything can happen in the blink of an eye. A kid that is taking care of business both on and off the field, look for Kaepernick to continue to prove his haters wrong, as the one’s who routinely rave about him are the first ones to quickly criticize him the first chance they get. So keep doing your thing Kap, because at the end of the day, it’s your life to live and no one else. #Kaepernicking
