According to Bay Area News Group Cam Inman, San Francisco 49ers T/G Anthony Davis is pondering retirement once again. Davis, who is making the transition from right tackle to right guard due to the emergence of second-year RT Trent Brown, was unexpectedly listed on the team’s injury report (non-injury related) as ‘questionable.’

Davis was supposed to be the starting right guard heading into the season-opener against the Los Angeles Rams, but now that may not be in the cards. If Davis is a game day scratch look for RG Andrew Tiller to relish the starting role.

Tiller, has been a mauler down in the trenches when given the opportunity. A pleasant surprise and one of the lone bright spots for the 49ers last season, it appears Tiller will once again be counted as the team’s rock on the right side.
I’ll start off by saying OG Andrew Tiller is looking extremely well. Nothing will be given to Garnett. He will have to earn the starter role

As the 49ers prepare for the Rams, it will be interesting to see where Davis’ future with the team lies. A player who already retired once before, will he do it again?
