Sakamoto: 49ers RB Carlos Hyde To Be Ruled Out Against Seahawks?

Back on November 2, I pointed out that San Francisco 49ers RB Carlos Hyde may need surgery to repair a stress fracture on his left foot while also missing at least four to six weeks.

Fast forward to today and I’m hearing that Hyde will not suit up on Sunday. A source close to the situation told me early this morning that Hyde may not even make the trip to Seattle. “It doesn’t appear that Hyde will play against the Seahawks, I’m almost 100 percent sure about that.”

How bad is the foot? Let’s just say a few weeks ago it could have ‘broke’ at any moment so to think that Hyde will be a go on Sunday or anytime soon is being more than optimistic. In fact, I’m hearing that in order to get Hyde on the field they have to routinely tape up that foot like they did to ILB Patrick Willis last season.

In a nutshell don’t be surprised if Hyde goes on season-ending IR as I’m pretty sure he will. In seven games this season, Hyde has amassed 115 carries for 470 rushing yards and three touchdowns.
