Sakamoto: 49ers RB Carlos Hyde Removed From Injury Report, Two Cornerbacks Added!

The Forever Faithful received good news yesterday, as third-year RB Carlos Hyde was removed from Thursday’s injury list. Hyde, who has been dealing with a concussion suffered in a preseason game against the Green Bay Packers on Aug. 26, was a full participant after being limited in practice just one day earlier.

Hyde, who will likely be counted on as the team’s cow-bell, is expected be on par for a Pro Bowl season, IF he can remain healthy for the majority of the season.

In his first two seasons, Hyde has seen the field 21 of 32 regular season games. That will certainly need to change in 2016 if he 49ers hope to have any chance of making a playoff run.

In those 21 regular season games, Hyde has posted 198 carries for 803 rushing yards (4.1 avg.) and 7 touchdowns.

In other news, it appears the 49ers secondary is a bit banged up with CB Chris Davis (hamstring), CB Keith Reaser (ankle) and NT Glenn Dorsey (knee) being listed as DNP (Did Not Participate) in practice, while ILB Nick Bellore (knee), DE Quinton Dial (knee), and DE Arik Armstead (shoulder) were listed as ‘limited.’
