Sakamoto: 49ers’ Kickoff 2016 Season By Facing Los Angeles Rams On ESPN

The NFL released the 2016 regular season schedule for all 32 NFL teams and as a result, it’s the San Francisco 49ers who will kickoff the season under the lights, as they face the division rival Los Angeles Rams on ESPN. A game that will take place at Levi’s Stadium on Sept. 12 at 7:20 pm PDT, it will be the 49ers second consecutive season in which they start the season on Monday Night Football.

A brutal schedule for 49ers new HC Chip Kelly as he then goes on the road facing two powerhouse teams with the reigning NFC Champion Carolina Panthers and then Seattle Seahawks, this team could very well start the season 0-3 before coming back home in a Week 4 matchup against the Dallas Cowboys.

The 49ers should win at least one of the next three games as they go up against the Arizona Cardinals, Buffalo Bills, and Tampa Bay Bucs before heading into their much needed bye week in Week 8. The road doesn’t get any easier for the 49ers, just take a glimpse of the full schedule below. Ouch!
