Sakamoto: 49ers’ Hire Dana Bible As Senior Advisor Per Adam Caplan


The San Francisco 49ers have hired former North Carolina State coach Dana Bible to serve as the team’s Senior Advisor. First reported by Adam Caplan, Bible will now be responsible for advising HC Chip Kelly.

What exactly does Bible’s job responsibilities entail? Well, considering Kelly has been known to read a lot of management books, having a peer like Bible may be beneficial, as he earned his MBA in Business Management from the University of Cincinnati in 1976.

Bible played for the Bearcats from 1973-1975 as a defensive back, and would then venture into the coaching ranks. He served in the NFL as the Cincinnati Bengals QBC from 1990-1992 before joining the Philadelphia Eagles in 1998 as the team’s offensive coordinator.
