The San Francisco 49ers enter the 2016 NFL draft with an league-high 12 draft picks. The last time they had this many draft picks in a single draft was back in 2013. That year they had 13. This is music to 49ers GM Trent Baalke’s ears. The more darts you have at the board, the higher probability for hitting on a prospect. This seems to be Baalke’s M.O. when it comes to draft day.
So what should the Forever Faithful expect in this year’s draft? Below are three things to watch as you can be sure Baalke will be making moves one way or another:
1.) Trade with either San Diego Chargers or Dallas Cowboys for DB Jalen Ramsey:
2.) Stay pat at No. 7 and expect DE DeForest Buckner to be their pick if he falls to them:
3.) 49ers make blockbuster deal by trading QB Colin Kaepernick to New York Jets in exchange for DE Muhammad Wilkerson while swapping first-round picks in trade down:
Which of the 3 scenarios above would you like to see happen?
