Report: Players-Only Meeting Led To ‘Heated Exchange’ Over Colin Kaepernick

According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, a source told him that one teammate called out San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick during a players-only meeting.

“During the rough stretch about four weeks ago, there was a tense players-only meeting in which one teammate called out Kaepernick. Another player quickly stepped up in a show of support and the exchange became heated. In the days that followed, the individuals involved got together and cleared up their differences, according to a source,” a source told CSN Bay Area.

Who those players were is anyone’s guess, but to know that tension is brewing can’t be healthy inside that locker room.

With the 49ers preparing for a divisional foe in the St. Louis Rams, it will be interesting to see how the team responds to adversity, as this season hasn’t looked promising.
