Report: 49ers’ schedule interviews with Rex Ryan, Dan Quinn and Mike Shanahan


According to multiple reports, the San Francisco 49ers have scheduled interviews with former New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan and current Seattle Seahawks defensive coordinator Dan Quinn.

Two defensive coaches who excel on that side of the ball, the 49ers already held an in-house interview with one of their own as defensive coordinator Vic Fangio met with management early this morning according to the Sacramento Bee.

49ers ILB NaVorro Bowman was asked his thoughts on Fangio becoming the head coach saying, “I would like to see him here,” Bowman said. “We’ve built so much chemistry with him. He’s a great human being and I would definitely listen to him on a head-coaching level. What you see is what you get with Vic.”

In addition, 49ers GM Trent Baalke spoke to Mike Shanahan earlier today. Shanahan who has the support of 49ers greats, QB Joe Montana and QB Steve Young, they believe Shanahan should get the job.
