Report: 49ers’ QB Colin Kaepernick Requests Trade From San Francisco

Just one day after San Francisco 49ers GM Trent Baalke said that QB Colin Kaepernick will ‘absolutely‘ be on the roster on April 1, which would fully guarantee his $11.9 base salary, it appears that Kap has a different mind set as he wants out of San Francisco.

According to Rand Getlin of NFL Network, Kaepernick’s agent has requested a trade from the team. Huh? What the heck is going on, right? Am I missing something? The one coach who can revive Kap’s career and now he wants out? I haven’t heard anything about this but I do know that the whole OLB Aldon Smith, Nessa, Kap love triangle rubbed players the wrong way, as some believe he broke the ‘bro code.’ Is this a reason why Kap reportedly wants out of San Francisco? I don’t know, but the fact that the news comes just one day after Baalke’s comments is interesting.

With the 49ers looking to field the best roster possible for the upcoming season, it will be interesting to see who they keep at quarterback as QB Blaine Gabbert continues to be my front-runner and best option at this point.
