Report: 49ers’ Demote Paraag Marathe As Team President

According to Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area, Paraag Marathe has been re-assigned to take a larger role in the organization’s outside business ventures, including the Sacramento Republic soccer team.

However, Marathe will continue to manage the team’s salary cap while being the top contract negotiator but will not retain the title of 49ers team president.

Marathe has been with the 49ers organization for 15 years now and was entering his second season as the team’s president. He spent the previous three years as the 49ers COO (Chief Operating Officer).

Was this the ‘massive chaos‘ news that Tim Kawakami reported late last night? As E-40 would say Yup.
