Report: 49ers’ Colin Kaepernick To Broncos Trade Talks Hits Ground “Zero”

San Francisco 49ers trade talks with the Denver Broncos involving QB Colin Kaepernick is ‘not likely’ according to Mike Klis of 9News in Denver. Klis said the teams had zero talks about any trade lately which should not come as a surprise.

Last week, Broncos GM John Elway called the dialogue ‘dormant‘ but that “everything’s right there.” 49ers GM Trent Baalke told us last week to never say never when it comes to trading Kap. “You never say never in this business. That gets you in trouble. I’m not going to do that. I wouldn’t do that about any player on our roster. Every day leading up to this draft, things change daily. Heck, they change by the minute right now within rosters. I can’t predict the future,” Baalke said.

While reports surfaced that Kaepernick ‘kinda digs’ HC Chip Kelly, this goes way beyond player/coach relationship. It trickles down to player to player relationship, which is why I believe Kaepernick will still get traded on draft day.

‘You don’t know when the phone is going to ring and what it’s going to involve, whether it’s the quarterback, whether it’s the defensive lineman, whether it’s the running back – it’s doesn’t matter. You can’t predict the future,” Baalke said.
