The San Francisco 49ers were on hand for LSU’s Pro Day today and while head coach Jim Harbaugh and GM Trent Baalke were not present as we anticipated, Regional Scout Bob Morris was on hand to watch one player in particular in WR Odell Beckham Jr. A player that I also had the 49ers targeting as Beckham Jr. brings dual-threat ability in the return game, it was not surprising to hear him say the 49ers have been extremely interested in him. On SiriusXM NFL Radio, Beckham Jr. was asked which teams were interested in him after his Pro Day and he said:
I spent time with the 49ers. I had dinner with the Steelers last night. I’m going up to Buffalo tomorrow.

Make no mistake, Beckham Jr. has been sky-rocketing up draft boards as I guarantee he will be in the mix as a top tier wide receiver after his LSU Pro Day on January 9. Another player that adds value in the return game, Beckham Jr. can change the fortunes of a game with one electrifying return. A true blazer that played in the best college football conference in the SEC, Beckham Jr. held his own.
With Beckham Jr. confirming he’s on the 49ers radar that’s good enough for me as they likely won’t bring him in for a pre-draft visit as they like to hide their interest in first and second-round draft picks as of late, as the last first or second-round draft pick to take a visit to Santa Clara was WR A.J. Jenkins.
