ESPN Report: 49ers’ Jim Harbaugh may be traded to Raiders or Jets

According to ESPNs Adam Shefter, both the Oakland Raiders and the New York Jets will be pursuing San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh at season’s end.

Shefter, who said that the Raiders will be the front-runner for Harbaugh’s services will likely inquire about Harbaugh through a trade offer just like the Cleveland Browns did last off-season.

However, Schefter also said that Harbaugh has a slim shot of earning an extension in San Francisco if they can make the playoffs and take them to the promise land. An unlikely scenario but one that is not out of reach if the team can run the table the rest of the way.

The Raiders currently have interim head coach Tony Sporano at the helm while the Jets have Rex Ryan.
