After ranking the San Francisco 49ers players as TE Vernon Davis came in at No. 4 for his position while WR Michael Crabtree came in at No. 21, it was RB Frank Gore who was next up. The player known as the “Inconvenient Truth” was ranked by ESPN’s Fantasy Football Now as the No. 19 ranked running back for upcoming season.

A ranking that would scratch heads to many considering Gore is still putting up 1,000 yard seasons, the addition of second-round pick RB Carlos Hyde and the emergence of RB Marcus Lattimore likely played a part in the ranking.

Gore who is coming off a season in which he had 276 carries for 1,128 rushing yards, and nine rushing touchdowns (second most of his career), those numbers will likely decrease as Lattimore and Hyde take away some of his touches.
