Battle of the Bay: 49ers vs. Raiders to see increase in security

The hyped up Battle of the Bay between the San Francisco 49ers and Oakland Raiders will see an increase in security, according to the Raiders as they will have “substantial increase” of law enforcement present.

“Public safety is a top priority for the Raiders, O.co Coliseum, and local law enforcement and all are working diligently to ensure that fans enjoy a safe and secure environment,” the Raiders said in a statement.

The two teams who have traditionally squared off against each other during the preseason quickly came to a halt in 2011 when two fans were shot, two others beaten, and numerous brawls breaking out in the stands.

What will happen this time around? Time will tell.
