The San Francisco 49ers Top 30 pre-draft visits continue as the Niners will be hosting former Clemson product WR Martavis Bryant on Monday according to Sacramento Bee’s Matt Barrows. Not a surprise considering GM Trent Baalke attended Clemson’s Pro Day while also taking CB Bashaud Breeland to dinner, the 49ers are doing their due diligence as they try and find that viable No. 3 option.

Bryant who I consider to be a second-round talent was ranked by NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah, Charles Davis, and former 49ers WR Curtis Conway as a tier No. 3 wide receiver. At 6-foot-4 and 211 pounds, Bryant has the catch radius to snag balls at will. And with Baalke coveting elongated wingspans as Bryant possesses a 32 5/8 wingspan, it should not be surprising to see Bryant on his list. A true deep field threat that can play between the 20’s, Bryant’s ability to high-point the ball in red zone opportunities while possibly adding value in the return game will likely make him a third-round selection grade by the 49ers. I say third-round and not second-round simply because not since QB Colin Kaepernick have the 49ers brought a second-round draft pick in for a pre-draft visit.

A top performer at the NFL scouting combine as Bryant ran a 4.42 40-yard dash, 39-inch vertical, 124-inch broad-jump, and 16 reps on the bench-press should bode well for him as he tries to become a second day pick. And with Bryant already being highly scouted by the Detroit Lions and Pittsburgh Steelers as they held a pre-draft visit with him earlier and with the Baltimore Ravens coming up, the 49ers may need to trade-up to get the highly prized wide-receiver. Not to mention, the New York Jets showed heavy interest in him during his Clemson Pro day, it’s clear that the 49ers and Jets are targeting the same players and the Niners will need to trade-up to get their guy, as both seem to be enamored with WR Brandin Cooks as their first-round selection.

Below is a breakdown of pre-draft visits, private workouts, interviews, and other notable tidbits from the 49ers brass as they try and build their Big Board.
