49ers T Anthony Davis practices for first time, Vernon Davis limited

For the first time in seventeen months, San Francisco 49ers T Anthony Davis was back on the practice field. A good sign to see considering the 49ers are a disappointing (1-2), they will need Davis back sooner rather than later.

Another player who continues to strive to get back on the field is rookie third-round pick (No. 70) C Marcus Martin. And while he did take part in warmups he was immediately seen afterwards working with strength coach Mark Uyeyama.

Other players who continue to sit out include TE Vance McDonald, TE Garrett Celek, NT Glenn Dorsey, and CB Tramaine Brock. Two veterans essentially had the day off but were still seen working hard on the side field as DE Justin Smith and ILB Patrick Willis were running wind sprints.

As for Pro Bowl TE Vernon Davis, he was back in the mix on the practice field as he showed no signs of limping in limited participation.
