With the San Francisco 49ers starting OTA’s today, it was good to hear that the players are getting back in shape. Just a few days removed from rookie minicamp, it was the veterans that were feeling the soreness throughout their bodies. Whether recovering from off-season injuries to maintaing their mid-season form, many of the veterans were happy to be back at 49ers headquarters and T Anthony Davis was no different.
Davis, who has been seen doing extensive cardio during this off-season while also playing basketball pickup games is looking stronger than ever. At 6-5 and 323 pounds, Davis has been a mainstay bookend tackle since being drafted in the first-round (No. 11) in the 2010 NFL Draft. However, Davis did have shoulder surgery recently but is recovering just fine as he tweeted:
1st day of OTAs. My first day of back training since the surgery! Great day today!

Good news as four of the five starting offensive lineman were in attendance. Who was missing? Well that would be RG Alex Boone who missed the day’s practice due to wanting a new deal.
With the 49ers set to continue OTA’s tomorrow we will keep you updated on the latest from headquarters as we will be there reporting.
