49ers’ RB Reggie Bush Optimistic About Playing Against Cardinals

As the San Francisco 49ers (1-1) prepare to face the division rival Arizona Cardinals (2-0), it will be interesting to see if 10-year RB Reggie Bush will suit up. A player who suffered a strained calf muscle in his 49ers debut (Week 1), the verdict is still out if the 49ers will see Bush back in action on Week 3.

Bush briefly spoke with both Matt Maiocco of CSN Bay Area and me today to discuss his playing status for Sunday’s game. “It’s a day-to-day thing,” Bush said. “Everyday I’m just trying to make bigger strides so I can get on the field.”

So will Bush suit up on Sunday? Bush’s response was plain and simple as he said, “That’s the plan.”
