Well it’s looking more and more like San Francisco 49ers RB LaMichael James may be on his way out. According to adskfj, the former 2012 second-round pick (No. 61) has asked and was granted his release from the team which in turn allows him to look for work elsewhere. A player that I said would be released back in May, as I thought rookie fourth-round pick (No. 106) WR Bruce Ellington would fulfill the primary returner role, that came to fruition as Ellington sits atop the depth chart in that department.

A promising player from the Pac-12 it’s no wonder James has been disgruntled since his rookie season. Whether voicing his displeasure through tweets or to the coaching staff, James is a competitor and wants to be on the field. And who can blame him? A player that I believe to have value on special-teams while being a change-of-pace back, James won’t be unemployed for long, as I believe he just needs a chance.
