49ers’ Patrick Willis shows off new Nike cleats at OTA’s

There is no question that San Francisco 49ers ILB Patrick Willis continues to be the heart and soul of the Niners defense. A player that is soft-spoken off the field while bringing pain on it, Willis showed off his fresh black cleats at OTA’s. The Nike Zoom Vapor Carbon Fly II’s had a swag-like twist as the back read, “52 Pain.”

That does not bode well for the 31 other NFL teams as Willis will be out to redeem his All-Pro status in 2014. A season that will start without his sidekick and best friend ILB NaVorro Bowman, make no mistake Willis will not only be an All-Pro but also be a candidate for the 2014 NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors. In 2013, Willis had another strong season as he racked up 104 tackles (seven tackles for loss), 3.0 sacks, and two forced fumbles.

With Bowman likely to be placed on the PUP to start the season, look for Willis to shine and give the Forever Faithful a season they will never forget from one of the 49ers all-time greats.
