49ers Jim Harbaugh takes ALS ice bucket challenge with 49ers Beat Writers

Yesterday’s press conference had a little twist than usual as San Francisco 49ers head coach Jim Harbaugh challenged all 49ers Beat Writers to the ice bucket challenge. A topic that became relevant as he was asked if he would accept Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll’s challenge, Harbaugh said, “I’m not taking [Seahawks head coach] Pete Carroll’s challenge though. I’ve got another challenge with him. But, I’m looking forward to doing that and I know just who I’m going to challenge. Now, I get to challenge how many people?” Three was the response. Harbaugh then named CSN Bay Area’s Matt Maiocco, San Francisco Chronicle’s Eric Branch, San Jose Mercury News Cam Inman among many others and then said, “How about we – I’ll just challenge the San Francisco beat writers. How’s that?”

I was all for the challenge and said, “I’m down” as were many others. Well the rest was history as Harbaugh took the ice bucket challenge with us like a Champ right before practice took place at around 4:49 pm.

Watch it here as I’m standing in my white shirt on Harbaugh’s right as we were drenched by the ice cold shenanigans.
