49ers’ Jim Harbaugh receives support from Legendary coach John Madden

With all the media hype surrounding the San Francisco 49ers management and head coach Jim Harbaugh’s future, former NFL coach and Hall of Famer John Madden backed up Harbaugh in February as he said:

“Jim Harbaugh has done a great job of coaching in the NFL. No matter how you put it. I mean getting to three Championship Games in a row, with that group or any group is a heck of a thing. And then to say he’s going to be fired if he doesn’t make the Super Bowl, you tell me where they’re going to get a guy that’s any better than him?”

And if push comes to shove, Madden believes Harbaugh not GM Trent Baalke should be the one retained, as he said, “Let me tell you this. It’s a lot easier to get a suit than it is to get a coach!”

Madden, a former coach for the Oakland Raiders and color commentator for the NFL, has since retired and is now living the good life or should I say retired life while providing his two cents when he feels is needed.
