With two players expected to be out for mandatory minicamp this morning in TE Vernon Davis and G Alex Boone, Harbaugh was “disappointed” in his two starters. He emphasized that the weeks leading up to mandatory minicamp were indeed voluntary but now they are not, as Harbaugh said, “Not the decision I envision being the Forty Niner way.”

However, with both those players out it allows others to step in and get valuable reps including TE Vance McDonald and rookie third-round pick G Marcus Martin. But there may be a dark horse in the cards as OC Greg Roman said that G Jonathan Martin will be taking reps at Guard.

With mandatory minicamp open to the media at 3 pm we will keep you updated on the latest as it unfolds.
