Despite San Francisco 49ers ILB NaVorro Bowman being cleared to practice on Tuesday, he has yet to take that next step as he continues to recover from his torn MCL/ACL injuries. A player that needed to be re-evaluated on Friday by renowned orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews, it will be Andrews’ assessment that will determine Bowman’s fate.
#49ers Harbaugh on ILB NaVorro Bowman being able to play this season: “I don’t know.”

Andrews, who also happens to be Washington’s doctor performed Bowman’s surgery back on Feb. 4 in Pensacola, Florida which also coincidentally happens to be CB Chris Culliver’s hometown. Culliver as you recall tore his ACL during last year’s training camp and is now having arguably his best season as Niner.
The 49ers have until Dec. 9 to either place Bowman on season-ending IR or activate him to the 53-man roster.
