How well is San Francisco 49ers second-round pick RB Carlos Hyde adjusting to life as a Forty Niner? Apparently well. From grasping the offensive playbook to winning the coaches hearts, the player known as El Guapo is quickly turning heads in Santa Clara. 49ers’ OC Greg Roman spoke on Hyde’s learning curve.
Roman on Hyde: “You don’t have to tell him too much. That’s a beautiful thing in a RB.”

Roman then went onto say that Hyde brings more of a punishing between the tackles type of presence whereas second-year RB Marcus Lattimore is more of a “slasher.” A goal-line running back than will likely replace RB Anthony Dixon do not be surprised if Hyde scores at least five touchdowns in 2014.
