Sakamoto: 49ers’ DE Mike Purcell Has Non-Stop Motor Both On And Off The Field


San Francisco 49ers DE Mike Purcell has been playing quite well since being inserted as the team’s starter in place of DE Glenn Dorsey. In two games, the Wyoming product has registered four tackles and 1.0 sack. And while those stats aren’t exactly eye-popping, the fact that No. 64 seems to be always around the football is a positive sign for the team.

I caught up with Purcell in the locker room, and asked for his thoughts on being the entrenched starter as well as his preparation for the upcoming game against the Cleveland Browns.
