The San Francisco 49ers today announced that 10 players were cut, as the team needs to trim their roster from 90 to 75 by Tuesday’s 1 p.m. deadline. Those players cut are listed in my two tweets below.
While all the cuts were not shocking, the most surprising was DE Lawrence Okoye as he made huge strides since being signed by the team back in 2013.
The 49ers who now have 80 men on their roster, must release five more players and those players could be CB Leon McFadden, NT Garrison Smith, OL Patrick Miller, S Jermaine Whitehead, and WR DiAndre Campbell.
