The San Francisco 49ers today announced they have signed free-agent CB Shareece Wright to a one-year deal worth up to $4 million.

The 49ers who lost both of their starting cornerbacks through free-agency with the departures of CB Chris Culliver and CB Perrish Cox will now put their faith in the former third-rounder (No. 89) as he fights for a starting role.

Wright who originally broke into the NFL with the San Diego Chargers has started 27 of 44 career games while recording 137 tackles, one interception and 21 pass break-ups.
