49ers’ Colin Kaepernick investigated for sexual assault in Miami

According to a report from TMZ Sports they obtained a police report stating that San Francisco 49ers QB Colin Kaepernick is being investigated for an alleged sexual assault in Miami, Florida. According to the report the incident took place on April 1 at the Viceroy Hotel. An apartment room that was occupied by Seattle Seahawks WR Ricardo Lockette both Kaepernick and WR Quinton Patton were in the room as the woman mixed drinks for the players at around 9 pm. In addition, the report said they told the woman “in order to drink the shots she had to ‘hit’ the bong which contained marijuana.

The woman began to feel lightheaded and went to the bedroom to lie down. She claims that Kaepernick “came up behind her into the bedroom and started kissing her. She advised they were kissing and Mr. Kaepernick started to undress her. She got completely naked.  Mr. Kaepernick told her that he was going to be right back and left the bedroom. They did not have sex.

49ers GM Trent Baalke released a statement saying:

The 49ers organization is aware of the recent media report regarding Colin Kaepernick and is in the process of gathering the pertinent facts.”

Whether it’s true or not remains to be seen. Is this a clear case of a gold digger trying to take advantage of a celebrity? Maybe. But this can’t be good in any case and we will just have to wait and see how this thing plays out.
