49ers’ CEO Jed York Slapped With Age Discrimination Lawsuit

While San Francisco 49ers CEO Jed York is busy trying to hand-pick his next coach, he will now also have to deal with a lawsuit that involves age discrimination. A claim by two former San Francisco 49ers employees, they believe they were terminated from their jobs due to York’s alleged desire to hire younger tech-savvy people.

Anthony Lozano, 56, who was the facilities manager and Keith Yanagi, 59, who was the director of video operations, said they were told the team was “going in a different direction,” despite their high-rated performance reviews.

The two are suing for damages stemming from wrongful termination, fraud and intentional infliction of emotional distress.
