With the San Francisco 49ers continuing OTAs again it was WR Brandon Lloyd who again stole the show. A player that hasn’t played since 2012, Lloyd didn’t miss a beat as he looked good in both positional drills and team drills once again. Lloyd was routinely seen talking to QB Colin Kaepernick and WR coach Johnnie Morton during practice.

One wide receiver who struggled however was WR Kassim Osgood. The special-teams ace dropped many passes in team drills including a sure-handed catch across the middle. He did however redeem himself in 7-on-7 drills as he hauled in a QB Josh Johnson touchdown pass.

Speaking of Johnson, he had a good day as he trucked rookie fourth-round pick CB Dontae Johnson for a touchdown while passing for another in 7-on-7 drills. The story though had to be none other than recently signed LB Blake Costanzo.

Costanzo was seen wearing No. 56 (white jersey) and played mainly special-teams. Happy to be back in the Bay Area, Costanzo feels right at home as he joked around with some of his teammates he had in 2011.

Notes:

T Jonathan Martin continues to acclimate himself with the team as he was present but did not work out due to mono.

49ers GM Trent Baalke was seen on the sidelines along with 49ers owner John York.

CB Chris Culliver is looking very fluid and looks like he hasn’t missed a beat as he recovers from his torn ACL.
