49ers’ Aldon Smith has learned from mistakes, ready for 2014

Many Forever Faithful have been wondering what the verdict will be in regards to San Francisco 49ers OLB Aldon Smith. Will he be suspended? Likely, but for how long? No one knows for sure as NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell has yet to lay down the law, but one thing is for sure, Smith is a changed man and is working very diligently to uphold the Forty Niner Way.

The 49ers local media caught up with Smith and he touched on the hard topics surrounding mainly his off-field behavior. So how is Smith a changed man? When he was asked about what he learned from being an off-field distraction Smith said, “You go through things in life and you know you learn a lot from my mistakes and just grow from them.” Asked if he’s been sober since he went to rehab Smith said, “I’ve been able to maintain,” and then followed up with a firm “yes” when asked if he’s been sober since his rehab last year.

A good sign for Smith and the 49ers organization as the “rebirth” that Harbaugh alluded to earlier seems to be rubbing everyone the right way or should I say the Forty Niner Way! With training camp set to open the media we will keep you all updated on the latest surrounding your favorite team as it unfolds.
