The San Francisco 49ers announced today the signing of sixth-round pick (No. 180) CB Kenneth Acker to a four-year contract. A three-year starter for Southern Methodist University, Acker started 38 games while recording 159 tackles, 1.0 sack, seven interceptions, and 29 pass break-ups. Asked if he knew the 49ers were interested in him Acker said, “I had some conversations with them. The DB coach [Ed Donatell] stayed in contact with me and just praised how much he liked my ball skills and everything.”

With Acker now signed, that brings the number to six draft picks locked up with six more to go.
