The San Francisco 49ers announced today the signing of rookie seventh-round pick (No. 245) FB Trey Millard to a four-year contract. The 6-2 and 247 pound fullback will be used primarily in blocking roles to backup FB Bruce Miller. A great value pick as Millard was a seventh-round pick, he will now have the opportunity to fight for the spot left behind by FB Anthony Dixon.

With the 49ers continuing to strike deals before rookie minicamp opens up on May 23-25, it will be interesting to see if they can lock up their entire 2014 draft class before the festivity takes place on Friday.
